The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals have been arrested related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man for suspected theft and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not considered an act of terror - caused train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
